Week 7 of the Pretty Playtime Quilt Along with the Fat Quarter Shop! Can you believe we are on cruising along to the cottage block! And, oh love this block and hope you do, too! In fact, I created a mini from this block to celebrate the recent move into our new home (which I hope to share photos of soon … ahem – you know when all the boxes magically disappear). That’s one thing I really hoped for when designing the blocks and this sampler quilt – the ease of pulling them apart as stand alone projects, mix and matching the blocks and creating unlimited types of quilts. Minis are also a great way to dive into the book without too much pressure to finish an entire project, and they’re awesome for swaps or thoughtful gifts to sewing friends (and eating mats and mug rugs for kiddos too — yes, please!)
This week I am also so thrilled that my dear friend, Jemima, from the inspiring blog Tied with a Ribbon is sharing her version of the cottage block with us all! As most of you know, Jemima’s work is nothing short of sweet perfect! So I hopped out of bed to take a peek at the goodness she is sharing today. You’ll love the colors and fabrics she chose for her block – so hurry on over with me for a peek, shall we? It’s super cute!
I’ll leave you with photos of my mini below for a dash of inspiration, too. And stop over to the Jolly Jabber to for even more fun and all the details on how to join the hop, too! It’s not too late to start, if you haven’t already, and they’re offering a ready-made kit to help you get started, too.
And here is a list of all the bloggers participating in the Pretty Playtime Quilt Along. Please stop by and see all the beautiful inspiration each week and leave them a sweet note or two – so much talent and inspiration from these lovely ladies – I am so grateful to see their creations!
Thank you for joining me for week 7! And, happy early 4th of July, friends! xx Elea
Anxious for you to post again and show the new house. I know you must be really busy.
