I kinda love Mondays at the moment! So many exciting things on this Monday. We have the Apple Farm Blog Hop in full swing AND we’re on week 14 of the Pretty Playtime Quilt Along with the Fat Quarter Shop!! And today we are sprinkling your Garden Fairy Sampler Quilt with rows of flowers! I love flowers and when designing this quilt – I knew it had to have plenty of them. How is your quilt coming along … do you love flowers, too?
And this week, the lovely and ever so talented Bridgette of The Family Hearth is sharing her flower row with us! I have so much love for Bridgette’s charming work! Let’s head over … and see her pretty blocks (sharing just a peek below)! And please stop by the Fat Quarter Shop too to see their darling flower blocks. While you’re there – scoop up all the details on the quilt along and how you can join us, too (if you’re not already)! I’ll be sharing my flower blocks on Instagram – stop by and say hello @elealutz would love to say hi!
The Pretty Playtime Quilts book can be found at quilt shops online (or ask your local quilt shop, too), and there’s a fun kit for making this Garden Fairy Sampler here. And my fabric featured in this book is Strawberry Biscuit by Penny Rose Fabrics – available in shops too.
Here is a list of the fabulous quilting bloggers participating in our Pretty Playtime Quilt Along.
I just received my copy of Pretty Playtime Quilts and am planning to make the sampler on page 48. As I read the fabric requirements, I will need 10 yards for the block backgrounds. Am I reading this correctly? That seems like an awful lot. Please let me know as I would like to order fabric and get started. I’m not doing this quilt along because I only discovered the book last week. Thanks.
Hi Susan – It was great to catch up with you on FB. Please feel free to reach out anytime! Sincerely, Elea
