Sharing a peek of the lovely new range, Curiosities, by the talented Amanda Herring for Riley Blake Designs. I’m overjoyed to have these beautiful prints on my sewing table this week. Painterly florals and jars of curiosities mixed with dainty flowers and leaves make up this gorgeous collection. I’m in love with the color palette: gray, teal, pinks and hints of red. My head is dreaming of so many things to make!
That gray and white cursive print and the beautiful balance of colors has me thinking of a quilt I want to make, but the florals in this collection are tugging at my heart to make a sweet dress. And did I mention how much I love gray?! When we moved into our new home last year – gray was my primary choice of color. I’m even dreaming of some new pillows or something pretty for my home. Oh the ideas!
Amanda’s beautiful range is romantic and beautiful all the same. I am so excited to be joining her in a blog tour for this range coming up at the end of May. Keep a look out for the tour starting on May 30th! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Amanda in person at quilt market and she is just as kind and fun as she is talented. I’m so thrilled to hear Amanda will also be in St. Louis for spring market. P.S. What do you think about my funky unicorn scissors? I spotted them on my friend Kim’s Instagram page (robotmomsews) a while back and was like … whoa … I need a pair of those unicorn scissors in my life. I got them from the sweet shop, Sojourner Handmade.
Well my sparkly little clothes pin in the photo above pretty much sums up my thoughts on Curiosities – LOVE. Congratulations, Amanda – what a beautiful range!
I can’t wait to share what I create on May 30th!
These fabrics are so soft and pretty – the teal and gray especially draw me in – as does the text print! Thank you for sharing Amanda’s new line. Cute scissors :)!!
Such gorgeous fabrics!!! I love your picture at the end! I’m SO glad you got you some unicorn scissors!! I think every girl needs some! ♥
