My friends at the Fat Quarter Shop (based just outside of Austin, Texas) have created a special quilt pattern to help with the relief effort in Texas with so many in need of assistance from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. The quilt pattern is called “Healing Hearts” and features chains of hearts joined together, a tribute to the sense of unity seen in the aftermath of these storms. I wanted to share a digital mockup of the Healing Hearts pattern in my latest collection, Little Dolly. The meaning and efforts behind this pattern makes this darling design extra special.
The Healing Hearts PDF quilt pattern is available from now until October 31, 2017, and the Fat Quarter Shop will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of this pattern to JJ Watt Foundation Houston Flood Relief Fund.
Additionally, the Fat Quarter Shop created a beautiful sample of the “Healing Hearts” quilt and it is up for auction starting today on Ebay – it’s so lovely and worth checking out. All of the proceeds from the Ebay auction will be donated to the Rebuild Texas Fund.
Thank you for considering helping out, if you can. Hope you’re having a wonderful Tuesday! xo Elea
Just ordered the pattern. I think it’s lovely and for a great cause.
I have much trouble keeping up with the quilting world (there’s SO MUCH to sort through!), and am just seeing this post. Is the pattern no longer available anywhere? I’d so love to make it!
