Happy New Year! I blinked and it’s almost February. I wanted to get in at least one blog post in January – wishing you a Happy New Year! How’s your year starting off? I hope January’s been good to you!
Our household has been busy getting back into the groove of school after winter break. We were getting used to hanging out in our cozy pajamas til mid morning and enjoying the time off. I’ve also been keeping busy on a few design projects (one of which is new fabric!!). I’m making some final color selections today and have my mind on, blue. A crisp, sky blue with a touch of aqua (I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on!). That’s what I’m hunting for in these Pantone swatches.
I did squeeze in some other fun over the last few weeks. I took my youngest to see The Greatest Showman. Have you seen it? LOVED it. It’s a musical and has so many wonderful messages, based on the life of P.T.Barnum. My 7-year-old loved it, too. I also tried out a veggie Spiralizer for the first time (a little Christmas gift I’d been wanting). Trying to see if I could sneak in veggies that my kids wouldn’t notice. We tried zucchini noodles for Spaghetti … but they noticed (oh heck). And I squeezed in a little sewing. I’ve been sharing some of the beautiful fabric peeks on Instagram.
January was lookin up for the most part … until it wasn’t. 🙂 My oldest broke his arm playing in a soccer tournament a few weeks ago. One ER trip later … lots of tears … and hopefully the last visit, ever. He’s doing much better and we’re hopeful the cast will come off in 5-6 weeks.
I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to? Resolutions? 2018 goals? I’m still getting used to writing “2018” on everything. haha.
Well bye for now. Wishing you a blessed 2018! Elea
