Hey friends! Did you see the exciting Friendship Quilt Along designed and hosted with Amanda Herring that recently started? What a wonderful way to bring all of us sewing and quilting friends together to make and learn and create her beautiful quilt. Amanda is sharing each block on her blog and instagram @amandaherringdesigns, including pearls of wisdom and inspiration about friendship as we quilt along together. You can start anytime – please join us! The templates and kit are available at The Fat Quarter Shop here.
Today I’m sharing a peek at one of the blocks I’ve made, called the Gracious block, that I turned into a drawstring bag. This block was fun to make (and of course – I love that it’s a flower!) and Amanda’s templates and pattern make it easy and fun to make (I added the leaves to the block, which are included in the kit). The gorgeous fabric I used is part of the newest collection by my friend, Heidi Staples called, Date Night, and oooh it’s beautiful!! Heidi’s collection is headed to shops now.
There are so many versions of each week’s block being shared. Be sure to check out the Friendship Quilt Along schedule of the others sharing their blocks and join me over at Amanda’s Instagram page and blog to soak up all the inspiration – together – as we go.
Bye for now, Elea
You are the best, friend…the BEST! Love this so much!!
Hi Elea,
I have a question for you about copyright. I am a beginner sewer and have enjoyed your projects so much! I tried e-mailing you at the e-mail address provided on your website here, but the e-mail keeps bouncing back saying that the recipient (hello@elealutz.com) is not found. Is there an e-mail address that I can contact you at to ask my question about copyright? Thanks 🙂
Hi Jenny, My apologies – just seeing your note. I will send you an email. Thank you for reaching out and for letting me know about my email. Talk soon.
